While our adoption progress has seemed be at a stand-still,
life is marching on. We are currently working towards finishing our seventh
year of homeschooling. Seven years! All three kids are doing well. As a family,
we’ve been studying history from the Middle Ages and are approaching the
American Revolution. We’ve also enjoyed our second year of a co-op that uses
our curriculum, Tapestry of Grace.
In addition to the regular subjects, the kids have been
enjoying activities outside of the home. The Big Guy is currently in two
evenings of swim practice, a Physical Science class, and guitar lessons. The
Sweet Girl is having fun in ice skating lessons and art. Bless his heart, the Little
Guy just follows along. Occasionally, he will join in the ice skating fun with
the help of large plastic buckets that he pushes around.
I cannot believe that we only have six weeks of co-op left
in our school year. We may continue our home school year for a few weeks beyond
that, just to tie up some loose ends, but once that it over, we’ll be finished
with 4th and 7th grades. How in the world is that even
possible?
