It started with an e-mail...

A few weeks ago, the Daddy Guy and I were up late, filling out some forms for  our homestudy and our agency. He had to double check some information, so he logged into his work e-mail. And there, in his junk mail, he found a very special e-mail. A very special e-mail about a very special little boy. He lives in an orphanage in Bulgaria, and he's waiting for a family of his own.

The e-mail asked, "Are you interested? Would you like to know more?" YES! YES! YES!

As we watched the video and looked at the pictures, we realized that there was way more to this story than the e-mail. You see, several months ago, on the Reece's Rainbow site, there was a little boy who we were very interested in learning about. However, at that time, we weren't in a position to begin our homestudy, and eventually, another family said that they were interested in adopting him. The Daddy Guy and I were sad for us, but so very glad for the little boy. He needed a family who could move quickly, and we weren't in that position.

As it turns out, the other family wasn't able to move forward with their adoption plans, which makes me very sad for them. However, our contacts knew that we were beginning our homestudy, and they knew that the little boy had become available again. Once we saw that it was him, and we were being given as second chance to pursue him, we knew it was meant to be!

And so, we are VERY interested in this little boy. His Reece's Rainbow name is "Dalton" (I am still unsure if we can share his given name) and we are currently in the process of adopting him. You can see our commitment to him here.

Please pray for our family as we continue this process. We pray that he'll remain safe and healthy while he waits for us. We have many steps left in the process, so we're unsure of when we'll even go for our first visit with him. We're very excited and hope you can be excited for us as well.
